Technical innovations arise from the interplay of different perspectives, experiences, and ways of thinking. In industrial settings in particular, it is evident that diverse teams often solve challenges more efficiently and sustainably. That is why NETZSCH views diversity as a catalyst for innovation. Initiatives such as Girls’ Day make an important contribution.
As part of Girls’ Day 2026, 17 participants tried their hand at various apprenticeship programs and gained exciting insights into the fields of IT, development, manufacturing, and assembly.
“Girls’ Day offers the opportunity to spark an early interest in technical careers and open up new perspectives. Through hands-on experiences, female students can discover their own abilities and develop a realistic picture of what technical work entails,” explains Christina Stanka, HR Specialist for Learning. The goal is to bring technical career paths to life and create opportunities that go beyond traditional role models. The day began with a welcome and reception at the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg. During the subsequent company presentation given by second-year apprentices, the participants got their first impressions. After a brief safety briefing, the group continued with a tour of the various areas of the machine-building company. Afterward, the students had the opportunity to try their hand at the selected departments and demonstrate their talent.
To wrap up the day, all participants and chaperones gathered for lunch together at Café & Restaurant FELIX. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants reflected on their experiences and had their questions answered.
