On December 17, 2025, NETZSCH’s annual Proven Excellence Award ceremony took place at the Porzellanikon in Selb. Employees from many different areas were recognized and honored by senior management and the executive board for their ideas, commitment, and special contributions to the company. At the heart of the event were projects in which colleagues improved existing processes, developed new solutions, and took responsibility beyond their own roles for the benefit of the NETZSCH Group.
In the Excellence in Operation category, among others, a new manufacturing site was honored for sustainably improving production and logistics processes and further strengthening global collaboration. Additional projects from the operational environment were also recognized for increasing efficiency and transparency in everyday work.
The Excellence in Innovation category focused on new products and solutions. This included further developments for the cement industry that reduce energy consumption. Particularly memorable was the Sunlight Pump project, a solar-powered pump weighing just 16 kg, designed for irrigation without access to the power grid and used in regions where reliable water supply is not a given.
The ceremony concluded with the Excellence by People category, which highlights employee engagement and collaboration. An education program focused on alternative proteins was recognized for opening up new development opportunities in a growing future field. In addition, the NETZSCHpeople corporate influencer program and a project on multilingual websites were honored.
The Proven Excellence Award ceremony shows that good ideas, commitment, and the courage to do things differently are seen and valued at NETZSCH. Those who take responsibility and actively help shape the company can also look forward to genuine recognition.

Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2025: NETZSCH instruments in the prizewinner’s laboratory

What great news: The 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded on October 8th – and one of the prize winners works with NETZSCH analytical instruments!
Prof. Omar Yaghi from the University of California, Berkeley was honored for his groundbreaking work in the field of reticular chemistry. His research into so-called MOFs (Metal-Organic Frameworks) has not only revolutionized materials science, but has also enabled applications in energy and environmental technology.
And best of all: NETZSCH instruments are used in his laboratory!
In the ZDF heute report, a picture from Yaghi’s laboratory was shown – and our devices are clearly visible on it. Great proof that we at NETZSCH not only supply high-quality technology, but also support world-class research.
“If Nobel Prize winners are using our devices, we must be doing something right.”

NETZSCH Soccer Cup 2025

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, it was time again: The NETZSCH Soccer Cup in Waldkraiburg entered its second round and five teams took part in the battle for the round leather in the best autumn weather. In a close neck-and-neck race between four teams, it remained exciting until the last game. The assembly catapulted itself from fourth to first place with a 2:0 victory over the test bench and thus deservedly took the title – mission title defense successful!
TPM came second, the trainees third. The tournament was a complete success – everyone involved spoke of a great day with lots of fun and good humor. Interest in participating in future tournaments has already been reported from the other locations. So we are excited to see if we can welcome a few more teams next year.
Whether on the pitch or in everyday working life – teamwork, enthusiasm and mutual appreciation are what counts at NETZSCH.

NETZSCHpeople Day 2025 – A year of strong voices and active team spirit: July 25, 2025
One year of NETZSCHpeople – a year full of stories, networking, and genuine enthusiasm for what makes us NETZSCH.
What began in the summer of 2024 with the official launch of our corporate influencer program has quickly developed into a vibrant and diverse community. Today, we have around 50 ambassadors from a wide range of areas – from our trainees to senior management.
NETZSCHpeople Day was the perfect occasion to look back on the past year and celebrate the development of our ambassador program together. In a talk show format, experiences were shared and past highlights were highlighted. It quickly became clear that NETZSCHpeople is more than just a hashtag – it has become a real network with heart.
In addition to an exciting review and personal exchanges, the afternoon offered plenty of room for creativity and togetherness: An interactive workshop with Sascha Klein focused on cross-location exchange. Between group work, partner exercises, and an unexpected polonaise, there was laughter, discussion, and a palpable sense of genuine connection.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made this day so special and unforgettable!
We are already looking forward to another year full of stories, ideas, and inspiration—and to everything we will create together as a community.

Germany Scholarship – University of Bayreuth
On June 24, 2025, the 26th sponsors and scholarship recipients meeting took place as part of the Germany Scholarship program—in the middle of the green campus of the University of Bayreuth and with the participation of numerous supporters, including us at NETZSCH.
Claas Hinrichs opened the event, followed by a keynote speech by Vice President Prof. Dr. Martin Huber.

The new scholarship recipients were then welcomed, including two young talents whom we support at NETZSCH:
- Daniel Hadirahardjo (Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science)
- Afra Fathimathul (Master’s degree in Battery Science)

In a relaxed atmosphere with snacks, quizzes, and interactive stations, the focus was on personal exchange—a day full of energy, ideas, and connections.
We would like to express our gratitude for the open dialogue and are delighted to be part of this network!
Science Show 2025

It was that time again: Three eighth-grade classes from Selb High School visited NETZSCH-Gerätebau and immersed themselves in the world of physics!
The students were not only able to observe physical phenomena, but also get hands-on experience with a wide variety of experiments, such as the implosion of a barrel using steam. Our goal: Every student in Selb should visit NETZSCH at least once and experience science with joy and wonder. We are already looking forward to the next time!
A huge thank you to our dedicated team, who guided the program with a lot of passion and enthusiasm!

Awarding of the Deutschlandstipendium at the University of Bayreuth

Deutschlandstipendium – NETZSCH at the sponsors’ and scholarship holders’ meeting
Students can apply for a Deutschlandstipendium if, for example, they have particularly good grades, participate in projects alongside their studies or are very socially committed. For the winter semester 2024/2025, 50 students were selected by a committee to receive scholarships. In addition to support from small and medium-sized companies, large corporations and private individuals, the state finances the same amount, so that those receiving support can save themselves a part-time job or two and concentrate even better on their studies.
The NETZSCH Group is also supporting two students at the University of Bayreuth again this year.

Doris Brunner and Yasmin Rolle award the certificate to two students.
The event began with a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Martin Huber, Vice President for Teaching and Students. The certificates were then ceremoniously presented to the scholarship holders and sponsors.
The official part was followed by a cozy get-together. Some scholarship holders had prepared various stations on the topics of “Nature & Culture of Bayreuth & Upper Franconia”, “Sights in Bayreuth”, “Celebrations in Bayreuth” and a crossword puzzle “Sporty Scholarship Holders” to promote exchange with the sponsors.
The event was excellently organized and offered the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas with our scholarship holders and get to know each other.
NETZSCH Science Cup started

Kick-off for the NETZSCH Science Cup student competition
On 1 October 2024, the NETZSCH Science Cup 2024 kick-off ceremony took place on the premises of NETZSCH-Gerätebau GmbH. The theme of the pilot project is ‘Laboratory of the Future’.
The participating schools are:
- Walter-Gropius-Gymnasium Selb
- Luisenburg-Gymnasium Wunsiedel

This competition offers students the unique opportunity to design their vision of a modern laboratory and present it to a jury. Their task is to develop the laboratory of the future, regardless of whether it is a medical laboratory, a contract laboratory or an experimental laboratory. The laboratories at NETZSCH-Gerätebau in Selb serve as the basis.
The students are completely free to choose their own methods and tools. Whether drawings, handicrafts, physical models, 3D animations or written descriptions – everything is allowed!

Award for the NETZSCH Group

The award ceremony took place in the historic Schleißheim Palace near Munich. For the 23rd time, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs honored the 50 best medium-sized companies from all administrative districts of Bavaria for their strong growth and successful corporate management. The NETZSCH Group has established itself as a role model in the Bavarian economy through its sustainable actions and continuous positive development.
The special award for commitment to training was also presented by Hubert Aiwanger, Deputy Prime Minister of Bavaria. This special recognition reflects the passion and dedication in promoting young talents. The special prize was accepted on behalf of the two apprentices Johanna Lanzinger and Felix Gerstner from the Waldkraiburg campus together with Jens Niessner, Managing Director and CFO of the NETZSCH Group, and Yann Jeschke, Director Group Corporate Brand & Communications. Investing in training is a central component of NETZSCH’s corporate philosophy and an expression of social responsibility.
Jens Niessner emphasized: “This award is a confirmation of our efforts and an incentive to continue on our path of promoting and integrating trainees. We are proud that our training concept has been recognized and that we are making a contribution to the development of tomorrow’s skilled workers.” The NETZSCH Group sees both awards as confirmation of its efforts and is motivated to continue on its successful path. Special thanks go to the Bavarian State Ministry for the recognition and to the employees worldwide for their commitment and contribution to the company’s success.
