Application Engineer (m/f/d) Inside Sales - Business Area Oil & Gas Midstream/Downstream
YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Technical customer consulting and preparation of quotations based on customer specifications
- Selection and sizing of pumps, including cost calculation
- Development of individual, customized sales concepts and follow-up of quotations
- Conducting bid clarification meetings with customers on site as required
- Negotiation of terms and conditions within the defined scope of decision-making authority
- Support and development of the existing customer base as well as acquisition of new customers
- Close collaboration with the field sales team, subsidiaries and internal departments
- Entry of orders into the SAP system (excluding project orders)
- Handover of reviewed and clarified project orders to the Project Execution Team
- Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions
- Monitoring of competitors and market developments, including corresponding reporting
WHAT SETS THEM APART
- Successfully completed technical vocational training, ideally complemented by further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician, or completed commercial vocational training with a corresponding technical focus
- Ideally, knowledge of the design and operation of positive displacement pumps and experience in the oil & gas industry
- Strong technical understanding combined with an entrepreneurial and process-oriented mindset
- Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
- Professional experience in an international industrial company is desirable
- Strong presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills
- Independent and responsible way of working
- Quick comprehension as well as a high degree of flexibility, commitment and teamwork
- Proficient in common MS Office applications, ideally with knowledge of SAP
- Very good written and spoken English, good German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel occasionally
